Quick answer

Pipedrive is a pure sales CRM priced per seat: US$14 to US$79 per user per month billed annually, with automation and WhatsApp starting on the Growth plan (US$39). GoHighLevel charges a flat fee per account, from US$97 a month, with unlimited users and contacts, and bundles CRM, WhatsApp, websites, funnels, email marketing and calendars. A small sales team that only needs a pipeline and reports will find Pipedrive simpler. From about three users, or when marketing has to live in the same tool, GoHighLevel usually costs less.

If you have looked for a sales CRM, Pipedrive came up. It is one of the best-known CRMs for sales teams, built around a visual pipeline that people understand in minutes. Once your search moves to WhatsApp, automation and marketing, another name appears: GoHighLevel. Both track deals and follow-ups, but they start from different ideas about what a CRM should do and how it should be priced.

This comparison puts Pipedrive and GoHighLevel side by side using their official pages, checked on November 5, 2026: pricing model, what each plan includes, automation, WhatsApp, email marketing and free trials. It is written for businesses outside the US, where WhatsApp, currency and card fees matter as much as features.

The difference in one sentence

Pipedrive is a pure sales CRM. Its core is the deal pipeline: every opportunity is a card that moves through stages, with activities, reminders, synced email and forecast reports. Marketing, lead capture and web pages are paid add-ons or separate tools.

GoHighLevel (also written Go High Level, or HighLevel) is a marketing and sales platform. Besides a CRM with pipelines, it includes WhatsApp, a website and funnel builder, forms, email marketing, scheduling, payments and automation, and it is designed for agencies that serve many clients through sub-accounts. Our complete GoHighLevel guide covers everything in the platform.

In practice: if your problem is keeping salespeople organized, Pipedrive solves it with little setup. If you also need to generate the lead, reply fast on WhatsApp and remind the customer about the meeting, GoHighLevel covers the whole path.

What each one costs

Pipedrive: per seat, plus add-ons

Pipedrive’s pricing page lists these per-user monthly prices, billed annually:

Pipedrive planPer user/month (annual)What it adds
LiteUS$14Pipeline, leads, calendar, AI-built reports, 500+ integrations
GrowthUS$39Full email sync with tracking, automations and sequences, meeting scheduler, forecasts, live chat support
PremiumUS$59Lead generation and routing (LeadBooster), lead scoring, data enrichment, contracts and e-signatures, AI email tools
UltimateUS$79Security rules and alerts, phone and email enrichment, sandbox account, phone support

Three details change the math. Pipedrive charges per seat, whether or not it is assigned to someone. Monthly billing costs more: the page advertises savings of up to 42% on annual plans without a per-plan breakdown. And email marketing (Campaigns) and Web Visitors are paid add-ons on every plan, while LeadBooster, Projects and Smart Docs are paid extras on Lite and Growth. Add-on prices are not on the page, and listed prices exclude VAT.

GoHighLevel: flat fee per account

GoHighLevel planMonthlyAnnualSub-accounts
StarterUS$97US$9703
UnlimitedUS$297US$2,970Unlimited
Founder (formerly Agency Pro)US$497US$4,970Unlimited, with SaaS Mode

Users and contacts are unlimited on every plan, and annual billing costs the same as 10 months. You pay in US dollars by card, so your bank’s exchange rate and foreign transaction fees apply. The GoHighLevel plans comparison explains which plan fits which business.

When each one is cheaper

Compare the plan you would actually need. If the reason to switch is automated follow-up or WhatsApp, the fair Pipedrive reference is Growth, not Lite.

UsersPipedrive Growth (annual)Pipedrive Premium (annual)GoHighLevel Starter + WhatsApp
1US$39/monthUS$59/monthUS$107/month
2US$78/monthUS$118/monthUS$107/month

5US$195/monthUS$295/monthUS$107/month
10US$390/monthUS$590/monthUS$107/month

These are subscription fees only, without Pipedrive add-ons or GoHighLevel usage costs (Meta fees, email sending, AI). The pattern still holds: with one or two salespeople, Pipedrive costs less. From three Growth seats, GoHighLevel matches it and then pulls ahead, because its price does not grow with the team. If you also need email marketing, forms and landing pages on Pipedrive, the gap widens.

Automation: sales sequences or end-to-end workflows

Pipedrive’s automations start on Growth. They react to pipeline events (a deal changed stage, an activity is overdue) and trigger actions such as creating tasks, sending emails or updating fields. Sequences send a series of follow-up emails. Limits grow with the plan: Growth allows up to 3 if/else steps per automation, and Premium up to 10, with 150 active automations.

GoHighLevel’s workflow builder connects any trigger to any action: a form submission, an incoming WhatsApp message, a booking, a payment or a pipeline stage. One workflow can reply on WhatsApp, send email and SMS, create a task for the rep and remind the customer about the meeting.

In short: Pipedrive’s automation organizes the salesperson’s work. GoHighLevel’s also handles the conversation with the customer, from the ad to the payment.

WhatsApp: official on both, with differences

For businesses in Latin America, Europe, India or Africa, this is often the deciding point.

  • Pipedrive: the WhatsApp Business Platform integration is available on Growth and above and is still labeled beta in the help center. Conversations sit in the sales inbox, linked to people and deals. Meta bills per-message fees. Key limits: templates are text-only (no image, video, document headers or buttons), variables are filled in manually each time, and messages sent before setup are not synced.
  • GoHighLevel: uses the official API, charges US$10 a month for the integration and passes Meta’s fees through with no platform markup (a 5% Stripe processing fee applies). WhatsApp works inside automation workflows and in the same inbox as email, SMS and social messages. Details are in our GoHighLevel WhatsApp guide.

  • Clear pipeline that sales teams adopt quickly.

  • No website or funnel builder.

GoHighLevel: strengths

  • Built for agencies too, with sub-accounts.

GoHighLevel: watch out for

  • More features means more setup at the start.
  • Billed in US dollars by card.
  • Usage costs (WhatsApp, AI, sending) add to the plan.
  • Steeper learning curve for teams that only want a pipeline.

Verdict

Choose Pipedrive if you run a small sales team that sells mostly by email and phone, already has its website and marketing handled elsewhere, and wants a simple pipeline with good reports.

Choose GoHighLevel if your team has three or more people, WhatsApp is your main channel, or you want to capture, reply, book and charge in one tool. The best test is to build, during the free trial, the flow that loses you the most sales today: from the form to the first WhatsApp reply.

Frequently asked questions

Is GoHighLevel or Pipedrive cheaper?

It depends on team size. Pipedrive charges per seat: US$39 per user per month on Growth, the first plan with automation and WhatsApp, billed annually. GoHighLevel Starter costs US$97 a month with unlimited users, plus US$10 for WhatsApp. With one or two users Pipedrive is cheaper; from three Growth seats, GoHighLevel matches or beats it.

Does Pipedrive integrate with WhatsApp?

Yes. Pipedrive's help center says its WhatsApp Business Platform integration is available on Growth and above, still in beta. Meta bills per-message fees. There are limits: templates are text-only (no images or buttons), and messages sent before setup are not synced.

Does Pipedrive include email marketing and landing pages?

Not in the base plans. Email marketing (Campaigns) is a paid add-on on every plan, and web forms and chatbots (LeadBooster) are paid add-ons on Lite and Growth. Pipedrive has no website or funnel builder. GoHighLevel includes websites, funnels, forms and email marketing in every plan.

Do both offer a free trial?

Yes. Pipedrive offers 14 days on any plan with no credit card. GoHighLevel offers 14 days by default or 30 days through the official Bootcamp; both GoHighLevel trials require a card, and billing starts only when the trial ends.

How is each one billed outside the US?

GoHighLevel bills in US dollars by card, so your bank's exchange rate and any foreign transaction fees apply. Pipedrive says your location determines the billing currency and payment methods, and its listed prices exclude VAT, which EU customers pay at their country's rate.
